Eldergeek.com This site focuses on tutorials based on various Windows operating system. This includes Vista and XP. 

Ninite.com This site includes lots of downloads for everything, from free antivirus to Office software, to imaging, video, and developer tools

PortableApps.com This site provides not only programs of all types to download, but they’re built for Flash/USB drives. Download to a USB drive and run off of that. 

Ninite.com– This site provides tons of free downloads you can use to scan for viruses, run antivirus programs, edit video/photo, zip files, and more.

Filext.com This site helps you figure out a file’s extension. It can explain what program creates/opens the file and what it means. 

DLL-downloads.com Many issues you encounter with computers is conflicts, missing, or corrupted DLL files. This site provides tons of them to download.

FixYourOwnPrinter.com This site provides help to fix your printer. You will need to know the make/model of your printer.

Virtual Magnifying Glass– This replaces the Windows magnifying glass to help view on small screens. I like better than the built-in magnifying glass that Windows comes with.

The following links are for free office software suites. They include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation programs.

Libreoffice (replaces MS Office)

OpenOffice (replaces MS Office)

Google Drive  This is an online word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and form creator service via Google.

Gnucash (replaces MS Money or Quicken)

InkScape This program is free to download and works similar to Photoshop. You can create a drawing or digital painting, or edit photos.

Gimp works with Photoshop files but is free. There is a bit of a learning curve to master this program but it’s very robust and can so many things for graphic design.

Blender  is a very robust program to create 3D objects, edit video or photos, and even animate 3D objects.

Aviary.com  is an online photo editing service. Just upload your photo/graphic and you easily edit what you need.

SumoPaint.com This is another online graphic creating/editing service. It will prompt you to sign in but you don’t have to. 

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services

Capsulecrm.com This is a free service for small business that allows for up to 250 contact profiles and 2 users. Only $12 per month if you need more. Upload files, add events to calendars, and more.

Trello let’s you work with online projects and share with others online. The free version provides a lot with only a $10 per month fee if you wish to upgrade. Free includes unlimited boards, lists, attachments (up to 10 MB) and links with Google drive, Dropbox, Onedrive and others.

Evernote is a free service that includes online website, smartphone app, and browser extension to share files, ideas, graphics. 

Google Drive  This is an online word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, and form creator service via Google. You can find plenty of addons and templates to use, and share with groups or other individuals online.

Canva is an online graphic design service that is free. This includes templates for social sites, ebook cover, marketing media, and more. Some graphics are free, while others only cost $1 each.
